When we were building our shortlist of CBD hemp flower cultivars to include in our Delta 8 collection, our Sour Special Sauce CBD hemp flower cultivar was one of the first to hit the list. As one of our more unusual Indica cultivars that can help either day or night, along with the creative bursts that seem to emerge after a session with this Sour Special Sauce CBD hemp flower cultivar, we were sure the addition of the Delta 8 THC compound would further those excellent effects.
We have to toot our own horn and tell you we were spot on when we decided to put our Sour Special Sauce CBD hemp flower cultivar through the Delta 8 Cold Infusion process. The end result is a robust Indica hemp flower cultivar bristling with phenomenal Delta 8 THC content. Sour Special Sauce Terpene Profile

The Delta 8 Cold Infusion Process
The introduction of the cold infusion process has been a major game changer when it comes to treating CBD hemp flower strains with Delta 8 distillate. As the name “cold infusion” implies, instead of heating the Delta 8 distillate to a level that allows the oil to flow smoothly, we freeze the distillate until it is completely solid. We then pulverize the frozen Delta 8 distillate into a powder and toss it into a container with buds from the chosen hemp flower strain. This is then vigorously agitated so that the powdered Delta 8 THC distillate evenly coats the entire flower, all the way down to the stem.
This method avoids the difficulty of the heated treatment process, which involves maintaining a constant temperature warm enough to allow the distillate to be sprayed evenly across all the plant material. Even when sprayed well, the distillate tends to stay on the surface plant material instead of spreading into the numerous nooks and crannies found on a typical hemp bud.
The end result of the cold infusion treatment process is a purer and truer blending of the Delta 8 THC compound with the cannabinoids contained in the hemp flower strain, all performed without the use of any solvents.

Our flower is cared for by hand from seed to finished flower. All our flowers are slow-dried and cured here on our farm and hand-trimmed for the best possible quality.

I bought this variety a year ago and when put up against Lemon Octane.. This stuff doesn’t compare very well. The smell was sharp, the kind of skunky that ALMOST smells industrial. The description matches the profile very well. The smoke was not the most flavorful, very much like “gas” however if that’s the kind of thing you like this girl is right up your alley. I almost feel like the names should be swapped, because if I don’t think I’d buy a sauce that smelt like this stinky lady here. No matter how special it was. The buds however were BEAUTIFULLY grown and trimmed, and my experience with the flavor of this sub-strain could very well have been the specific plant it was harvested from. The effect was nice, the smoke was clean not overly herby/hempy it just wasn’t my particular flavor and that’s why I’m giving 4 stars. Thanks FVF!!!

I usually use Sativa dominant. After reading about this strain I decided to try ½oz smalls. It’s not like most Indica dominant effects. Energetic, euphoric buzz. Smell & taste are great!! No racing heart or anxiety. Didn’t make me tired at all (until it got late). Sauce is now a “always have to have” strain. Lasts much longer than Sativa’s. Not as much needed. I just received my full ounce order of BIG beautiful sticky bud!! If your like me (God help you, lol) and don’t like most indica’s try this Sauce out. Btw, delivery 2 days after order….. I love FVF!!

This has been the most disappointing purchase I’ve made. The box I received it in was alarmingly hot so I don’t know if those conditions completely drained all of the nutrients from the product. Otherwise the packaging seemed perfect. I’ve experienced almost no effects despite reading plenty of reviews stating that this is some of the most potent product available. It is easily the least potent along with the Bubba Kush; even the most mid-grade real stuff is more potent. Again, I’m just seriously disappointed with this as I feel like I just payed a thousand dollars for grass that I can mow off the lawn. I won’t spend a single dollar on this site again unless I’m given a free sample to make up for this terrible experience and convince me that your product is any good. What a real shame.

The buds came properly cured, sticky and had a perfect water content. Fern Valley Farms really does a great job as far as customer satisfaction goes. Quality seems like the #1 priority with them.
The flavor of this variety was not as good as the lemon octane. While still good, it wasn’t quite as good as my other purchase. I mix my flower with regular pipe tobacco and the lemon octane mix tasted the way a good incent smells.
As far as quality goes this product is still top of the line and any criticism I have is merely the discrepancy between the two sub-strains of the hemp plant.
