Description
Why HHC Small Buds?
Simply smaller than their big bud siblings, you can enjoy the full benefits and flavors at a fraction of the cost. Some prefer HHC small buds over HHC big buds for reasons beyond price savings. For instance, grinding up small buds is often easier and more efficient than those bulky big buds! Consumers also like creating their own edibles and tinctures with small buds because more of the original flavor is retained.

Smart Shopper Secret
Money-conscious shoppers get smart with our collection of HHC Smalls Buds. Because the taste and effects are exactly like the bigger buds on the same plant, many consumers buy larger quantities of small buds along with a smaller selection of big buds. They then save those big buds for special occasions.
Others directly mix small buds and big buds whenever they roll a joint or fill a pipe or vaporizer. Such a combination does not diminish the potency and flavor of those big buds but by including small buds the cost of each session is much less than when consuming big buds on their own.
More Smoke/Vape Options
Our HHC Small Buds are not the only place where big savings can be realized.
We also recommend you investigate the following products:
- HHC Shake – buds tinier than HHC Small Buds and the accompanying leaves on the hemp plant are also rich with cannabinoids and terpenes; enjoy huge price discounts while still getting the compounds you want
Consuming Small Buds
In one way, small buds are more versatile than our full-sized hemp flower buds. Because they are less inexpensive, many consumers use small buds for infusing cannabinoids (and terpenes) into different foods or oils. (Our blog offers several articles explaining how to infuse cannabinoids into oils.)
If smoking or vaping is your pleasure, these small buds will please as much as their larger herbal siblings. You will find small buds easier to grind than large buds (because they are smaller) but you will still end up with aromatic and fluffy mounds of shredded plant material ideal for pipes, vaporizers, or joints.
Finally, some sophisticated and experienced consumers make their own tinctures using small buds. The results are often spectacular while also realizing significant savings over retail tinctures.
Here is a quick summary of possible ways to consume HHC Small Buds:
- Joints – grinds easier than big buds but produces the same fluff perfect for rolling into joints
- Pipes/Vaporizers – after a grind, small buds are also ideal to load into pipes or vaporizing devices
- Foods/Drinks – you don’t need to be a master chef to get the most out of edibles infused with cannabinoids found in shake
- Tinctures – creating tinctures requires more time and experience but can produce potent HHC oils
About Fern Valley Farms Small Buds
We would like to say it is our best-kept secret at Fern Valley Farms but with the way the word spreads so quickly among our growing ranks of CBD consumers, we have to admit it’s not much of a secret anymore. But it is still a fantastic deal for economy-conscious CBD shoppers!
We’re talking about our line of small buds, which are simply smaller buds that grew on our hemp plants. What this means to you, as a money-conscious shopper, is that you can still enjoy the same premium flavors, full terpene profiles, and amazing cannabinoids found in our regular line of strains offering full-sized buds… all at a fraction of the cost!
While it may be fun to indulge in full-sized buds, the fact is that you get the exact same taste and effects with our line of small buds as you will with our original hemp flower cultivars, typically at about 40% less cost. Even when you grind up these small buds, they behave the same way as their bigger siblings, converting to beautifully textured mounds of shredded plant material perfect for rolling joints or filling pipes and vaporizers!
If you are looking to maximize the cannabinoid bang from your bucks, look no further than our amazing line of premium HHC Small Buds!
The HHC Treatment Process
When it comes to effective treatment of our premium hemp flower cultivars with a distillate of HHC, we quickly learned that the most efficient and thorough treatment can be attained through a cold infusion process. As the name “cold infusion” implies, we freeze the HHC distillate until it is completely solid. We then pulverize the frozen HHC distillate into a powder and toss it into a container with buds from the chosen hemp flower cultivar. This is then vigorously agitated so that the powdered HHC distillate evenly coats the entire flower, all the way down to the stem.
This approach results in a thorough coating of the HHC distillate throughout the treated plant matter. More significantly, the end result of the cold infusion treatment process is a purer and truer blending of the HHC compound with the cannabinoids contained in the hemp flower cultivar, all performed without the use of any solvents.
HHC Has Potent Psychoactive Properties!
As with all HHC products we offer, we urge you to practice extra caution particularly with the first use of any new product containing the HHC compound. We strongly recommend that you consume this product in very small doses (as compared to your usual consumption practices for this CBD flower cultivar). Please wait at least 30 minutes between each dosage session.
While HHC does not produce effects as pronounced as its counterpart, Delta 9 THC, the HHC compound can still produce psychotropic effects. The addition of HHC to different CBD flower cultivars will not only enhance or amplify the effects you normally enjoy when consuming that cultivar but can include other effects, including psychotropic reactions or experiences.
(To better educate yourself about HHC, we recommend our blog article “What Is HHC?” which explores this new compound in much greater detail.)
*Understanding HHC Lab Reports
Consumers interested in studying accompanying lab reports for our HHC-treated hemp flower cultivars may notice two stereoisomers connected to the HHC compound. On the lab reports, these isomers are identified as:
- Hexahydrocannabinol (S Isomer) (9s-HHC)
- Hexahydrocannabinol (R Isomer) (9r-HHC)
It is important to note that both isomers are potentially psychoactive. When inhaled, only the 9r-HHC isomer is psychoactive. The 9s-HHC isomer is NOT psychoactive when inhaled. (When ingested, both isomers are psychoactive.)
Hand Trimmed
Our flower is cared for by hand from seed to finished flower. All our flowers are slow-dried and cured here on our farm and hand-trimmed for the best possible quality.

Second time getting small buds! I tried 2 different small buds so far and i can’t wait for my next order! They haven’t let me down yet! Same as the big buds but more convenient with my hand disabilities as I struggle with grinders and breaking up with my hand

Love the small buds! First time getting them. I just pop them in my electric grinder and stuff my rollers! Less stems than the big buds so it’s super convenient for me!
