THCA (Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found naturally in the cannabis plant. However, when heated through smoking, vaping, or cooking, THCA undergoes a process called decarboxylation and converts into THC, the psychoactive compound known for causing a “high.” Please be aware of this transformation when using our products, as the effects can vary significantly before and after heat is applied. This ounce of Pink Prosecco is the second ounce in a row that I have purchased from FVF that has been far below the quality standards I have come to expect from this site. The other strain is another outdoor strain called Cereal Milk, which is usually one of my favorites from FVF. You might be saying “Why are you ordering outdoor in October and November and expecting freshness?” Personally, I think it’s in the hands of the seller to take it off the site when it’s past it’s prime. Both of these ounces have been dry/crumbly, harsh (to the point where it’s almost unsmokeable), and providing mild effects other than sedation. I think that points to a product well past what I would consider sellable as a “premium” product that provides no mention of its old age and deteriorated effects in the listing for the product. I feel they are trying to make a profit off expired product, and that isn’t very consumer friendly. They resolved my previous grievance with the Cereal Milk by awarding me with 40 dollars of site credit. I was fine with that, even though it was half the price of the ounce. I am not so happy now that the ounce I ordered with the credit exhibits the same problems as the first. I think Fern Valley Farms needs to at least provide a public batch date for each currently sold strain. This would at least allow the purchaser to decide if it’s a wise purchase without blinding jumping into buying a product that you hope is fresh.

Pink Prosecco and Cereal Milk are outdoor strains from the previous year’s harvest, which is why they are currently part of our discounted blowout sale. Outdoor flower naturally ages faster than indoor-grown, and this time of year — right before our new harvest arrives — it can be drier than what some customers prefer. We include these strains on sale so customers looking for lower-priced options still have options, but we absolutely understand this may not fit everyone’s expectations.
We want to mention that every product page includes the COA (lab test), which shows the date the product was tested, giving customers a reference point for age.
We want to assure you that we are not trying to sell expired products — these are simply end-of-season outdoor strains being discounted to make room for incoming 2025 fall harvest. But we understand your disappointment, and your feedback shows us where we can improve communication.

Looking at it in a strictly euphoric lens, the thca flower is as potent as legal and possibly/probably illegal options. Euphoria prevalent with notably less sedation than other options. Everything about these products reflects quality…fresh flowers…properly stored in amber jars with humidipaks. Cost is much more than reasonable…even cheap for many. Haven’t found a downside yet.
