While the addition of the HHC compound may slightly modify the smell and taste of this Sour Brulee, you will find the following description of the original, untreated cultivar to still be reliable:
Go ahead and pinch a bud, while taking a good smell. The sour lime dominates the atmosphere but if your olfactory senses are sharp enough you will also discover a trace of vanilla there. The diesel presence remains understated until that bud meets your grinder.
Once released from the grinder, a gassy diesel tang jumps right through that pungent lime and vanilla hint. When finally put to the true taste test of a smoke or vape session, you cannot help but relax right into an amazing flavor blend with that sour lime leading the way. On the exhale, enjoy the heightened presence of the diesel flavor. In all, an incomparable taste sensation awaits you!
Sour Brulee HHC Flower Terpene Profile
We understand the importance and value of the terpenes found within each cultivar we grow. At maturation, hemp plants produce many compounds. The key compounds are cannabinoids (CBD, CBG, THC, etc.) and terpenes. Each hemp cultivar produces its own blend of terpenes that add aromas and flavoring. This is referred to as its terpene profile.
Our lab reports include a full analysis of the terpenes present in each hemp flower cultivar we grow. You can find the detailed terpene report in the above image gallery. We also provide below a summary of the terpenes produced by this Sour Brulee Hemp Flower cultivar.
There are 5 major terpenes with 14.82mg per gram of aromatic compounds in this Sour Brulee CBD hemp flower cultivar. They are:
- Terpinolene (5.46mg/g)
- β-Caryophyllene (3.44mg/g)
- Guaiol (2.31mg/g)
- β-Myrcene (1.89mg/g)
- Limonene (1.72mg/g)
Sour Brulee CBD Hemp Flower Organically Cultivated at Fern Valley Farms in Oregon; HHC Distillate
The HHC Treatment Process
When it comes to effective treatment of our premium hemp flower cultivars with a distillate of HHC, we quickly learned that the most efficient and thorough treatment can be attained through a cold infusion process. As the name “cold infusion” implies, we freeze the HHC distillate until it is completely solid. We then pulverize the frozen HHC distillate into a powder and toss it into a container with buds from the chosen hemp flower cultivar. This is then vigorously agitated so that the powdered HHC distillate evenly coats the entire flower, all the way down to the stem.
This approach results in a thorough coating of the HHC distillate throughout the treated plant matter. More significantly, the end result of the cold infusion treatment process is a purer and truer blending of the HHC compound with the cannabinoids contained in the hemp flower cultivar, all performed without the use of any solvents.
HHC Has Potent Psychoactive Properties!
As with all HHC products we offer, we urge you to practice extra caution particularly with the first use of any new product containing the HHC compound. We strongly recommend that you consume this product in very small doses (as compared to your usual consumption practices for this CBD flower cultivar). Please wait at least 30 minutes between each dosage session.
While HHC does not produce effects as pronounced as its counterpart, Delta 9 THC, the HHC compound can still produce psychotropic effects. The addition of HHC to different CBD flower cultivars will not only enhance or amplify the effects you normally enjoy when consuming that cultivar but can include other effects, including psychotropic reactions or experiences.
(To better educate yourself about HHC, we recommend our blog article “What Is HHC?” which explores this new compound in much greater detail.)
*Understanding HHC Lab Reports
Consumers interested in studying accompanying lab reports for our HHC-treated hemp flower cultivars may notice two stereoisomers connected to the HHC compound. On the lab reports, these isomers are identified as:
- Hexahydrocannabinol (S Isomer) (9s-HHC)
- Hexahydrocannabinol (R Isomer) (9r-HHC)
It is important to note that both isomers are potentially psychoactive. When inhaled, only the 9r-HHC isomer is psychoactive. The 9s-HHC isomer is NOT psychoactive when inhaled. (When ingested, both isomers are psychoactive.)
Consequently, we only include the amount of the 9r-HHC isomer when reporting HHC potency for our treated cultivars.
