How HHC Shake Differs from HHC Big Buds

Please note that the potency and taste levels are slightly milder than the same HHC big buds. This is the very nature of HHC shake. Still, when you crunch the numbers you will still find a high level of cannabinoids (including HHC) and terpenes in our shake. The bottom line is that, if you want the most cannabinoids for your bucks, nothing beats our shake!

Below are summaries of each HHC Shake cultivar. Links to original HHC big bud pages are included. This allows you to examine cultivars of interest in greater depth.

Smart Shopper Secret

Many customers get the HHC big buds along with HHC Shake. They save their larger, more expensive hemp flower buds for special occasions (or when the need for stronger effects arises) and use their shake more regularly, thus saving lots of money while still benefiting from the effects of their favorite cultivars. Another popular method is to start with a large bud (in either a joint, pipe, or vaporizer) and then shift to consuming shake to maintain the effects triggered by the original big bud.

As you can see, there are lots of options available to you with our HHC Shake collection!

More Smoke/Vape Options

Our HHC Shake is not the only product where big savings can be realized.

We also recommend you investigate these related products:

  • HHC Small Buds – not as big as our full-sized buds but easily as delicious and potent; our HHC Small Buds are a smart economical acquisition for cannabinoid consumers

Consuming HHC Shake

What can you do with HHC Shake?

Actually, you may find more ways to prepare and consume shake as compared to our full-sized buds! We consider our HHC Shake to be a truly all-purpose product since it can be consumed in the following manners:

  • Joints – hardly any grinding is required prior to rolling up joints, but you should pull out any spare twigs that could tear your paper
  • Pipes – you will find the texture of the shake to be ideal for loading pipes with minimal preparation
  • Vaporizers – just like pipes, vaporizing a chamber filled with shake takes no time to prepare but delivers excellent flavors and effects
  • Foods – you don’t need to be a master chef to get the most out of edibles infused with the cannabinoids found in shake
  • Drinks – making teas or infusing cannabinoids into various liquids is another method for delivering cannabinoids to your system
  • Lotions – cannabinoids not only can soothe and ease discomfort but it also keeps your skin smooth and hydrated
  • Tinctures – while creating tinctures requires more time and knowledge, the savings realized by making your own cannabinoids oils can be significant

Okay, we’re pretty sure you are familiar with joints, pipes, and vaporizers. The preparation is minimal and simple. But if foods, drinks, lotions, and tinctures appear daunting, we find a little experience goes far in making you comfortable with these more involved processes.

Granted, it may appear that creating your own lotions and tinctures may be a longer-term goal but as with any other process, practice makes perfect. And when you consider the low price of shake, you are given plenty of room for errors and can still end up with cannabinoid-infused products at a fraction of typical retail prices.

There is also a degree of satisfaction and accomplishment when you do learn to master processes that allow you to create your own lotions and tinctures. As with any skill, it’s best to start simply, so we recommend you first try cooking with cannabinoids. To help hone your skills, visit our blog where you can find articles offering tips and instructions for using shake to create your own culinary cannabinoid-infused creations.

About Fern Valley Farms HHC Shake

As you can see from the broad variety of cannabinoid products we offer – tinctures, lotions, edibles, multiple flower strains, kief, etc. – the hemp plant is not only very efficient at producing valuable compounds like cannabinoids and terpenes but is equally adept at distributing those important properties throughout the plant material. Of course, a large percentage will be found in the flower buds but a properly cultivated hemp plant literally brims over with its abundance of cannabinoids and terpenes.

This bounty of rich cannabinoids is even found on nearby leaves and the small bits of hemp flower buds that will naturally fall to the wayside during the normal harvesting process. These “sugar leaves,” along with a natural portion of kief remaining after collection, may not hold the same high potency as found in the hemp flower buds but they come close. For instance, if hemp flower buds treated with HHC distillate register a 20% HHC potency, chances are quite good that the shake would clock in with a HHC potency of about 18% to 19%.

This means that any shake you purchase from Fern Valley Farms will deliver similar effects as enjoyed when consuming full-sized flower buds from the same cultivar.

What really makes shake attractive are its extremely low prices in comparison to full flower buds. In fact, our shake is so affordable a ¼ pound costs less than just one ounce of our premium hemp flower (which everyone agrees is already priced astonishingly low) but brings similar flavor and effects as the more luxurious buds with a slightly higher cannabinoid content! 😉

The HHC Treatment Process

When it comes to effective treatment of our premium hemp flower cultivars with a distillate of HHC, we quickly learned that the most efficient and thorough treatment can be attained through a cold infusion process. As the name “cold infusion” implies, we freeze the HHC distillate until it is completely solid. We then pulverize the frozen HHC distillate into a powder and toss it into a container with buds from the chosen hemp flower cultivar. This is then vigorously agitated so that the powdered HHC distillate evenly coats the entire flower, all the way down to the stem.

This approach results in a thorough coating of the HHC distillate throughout the treated plant matter. More significantly, the end result of the cold infusion treatment process is a purer and truer blending of the HHC compound with the cannabinoids contained in the hemp flower cultivar, all performed without the use of any solvents.

HHC Has Potent Psychoactive Properties!

As with all HHC products we offer, we urge you to practice extra caution particularly with the first use of any new product containing the HHC compound. We strongly recommend that you consume this product in very small doses (as compared to your usual consumption practices for this CBD flower cultivar). Please wait at least 30 minutes between each dosage session.

While HHC does not produce effects as pronounced as its counterpart, Delta 9 THC, the HHC compound can still produce psychotropic effects. The addition of HHC to different CBD flower cultivars will not only enhance or amplify the effects you normally enjoy when consuming that cultivar but can include other effects, including psychotropic reactions or experiences.

(To better educate yourself about HHC, we recommend our blog article “What Is HHC?” which explores this new compound in much greater detail.)

*Understanding HHC Lab Reports

Consumers interested in studying accompanying lab reports for our HHC-treated hemp flower cultivars may notice two stereoisomers connected to the HHC compound. On the lab reports, these isomers are identified as:

  • Hexahydrocannabinol (S Isomer) (9s-HHC)
  • Hexahydrocannabinol (R Isomer) (9r-HHC)

It is important to note that both isomers are potentially psychoactive. When inhaled, only the 9r-HHC isomer is psychoactive. The 9s-HHC isomer is NOT psychoactive when inhaled. (When ingested, both isomers are psychoactive.)

Hand Trimmed

Our flower is cared for by hand from seed to finished flower. All our flowers are slow-dried and cured here on our farm and hand-trimmed for the best possible quality.
