ABOUT THC-O HAWAIIAN HAZE CBD SHAKE/TRIM
You will find that our THC-O Hawaiian Haze CBD shake/trim offers the same cannabinoid and terpene profiles as the full THC-O hemp flower strain, just at a slightly reduced level.
Here is a summary of the full THC-O Hawaiian Haze hemp flower strain:
- Compounds: 12.76% THC-O; 10.58% CBD
- Effects: Upbeat/Alert/Motivated
- Flavor: Pineapple/Mango/Lavender/Pine
- Type: Sativa Dominant
- Usage: Day
Please note that the potency and taste levels may be a bit milder than the above descriptions, as this is the very nature of shake/trim content. Still, if you crunch the numbers you will be very impressed at the high level of cannabinoids you can purchase in this form. The bottom line is that, if you want the most cannabinoids for your bucks, nothing beats our shake/trim!

Consumer Tip: Many customers get the original larger hemp flower buds along with shake/trim. They save their larger, more expensive hemp flower buds for special occasions (or when the need for stronger effects arises) and use their shake/trim more regularly, thus saving lots of money while still benefiting from the effects of their favorite strains. Another popular method is to start with a nice large bud (in either a joint, pipe, or vaporizer) and then shift to consuming shake/trim to maintain the effects triggered by the original big bud.
As you can see, there are lots of options available to you with our premium shake/trim collection!
ABOUT FERN VALLEY FARMS PREMIUM SHAKE/TRIM
As you can see from the broad variety of cannabinoid products we offer – tinctures, lotions, edibles, multiple flower strains, kief, etc. – the hemp plant is not only very efficient at producing valuable compounds like cannabinoids and terpenes but is equally adept at distributing those important properties throughout the plant material. Of course, a large percentage will be found in the flower buds but a properly cultivated hemp plant literally brims over with its abundance of cannabinoids and terpenes.
This bounty of rich cannabinoids is even found on nearby leaves and the small bits of hemp flower buds that will naturally fall to the wayside during the normal harvesting process. These “sugar leaves,” along with a natural portion of kief remaining after collection, may not hold the same high potency as found in the hemp flower buds but they come close. For instance, if the hemp flower buds register a 15% CBD potency, chances are quite good that the shake/trim would clock in with a CBD potency of about 13% to 14%.
This means that any shake/trim you purchase from Fern Valley Farms will deliver similar effects as enjoyed when consuming full-sized flower buds from the same strain.
What really makes shake/trim attractive are its extremely low prices in comparison to full flower buds. In fact, our shake/trim is so affordable a ¼ pound costs less than just one ounce of our premium hemp flower (which everyone agrees is already priced astonishingly low) but brings similar flavor and effects as the more luxurious buds with a slightly higher cannabinoid content!
Finally, this shake/trim receives the same potent and effective THC-O Cold Infusion treatment that the rest of this same Hawaiian Haze CBD hemp flower strain receives. If you are looking to maximize the cannabinoid bang from your bucks, look no further than our amazing line of premium CBD (and CBG) hemp shake/trim treated with THC-O distillate!
So what can one do with shake/trim?
Actually, you may find more ways to prepare and consume shake/trim as compared to our full-sized buds! We consider our premium shake/trim to be a truly all-purpose product since it can be consumed in the following manners:
- Joints – hardly any grinding is required prior to rolling up joints, but you should pull out any spare twigs that could tear your paper
- Pipes – you will find the texture of the shake/trim to be ideal for loading pipes with minimal preparation
- Vaporizers – just like pipes, vaporizing a chamber filled with shake/trim takes no time to prepare but delivers excellent flavors and effects
- Foods – you don’t need to be a master chef to get the most out of edibles infused with the CBD found in shake/trim
- Drinks – making teas or infusing CBD into various liquids is another method for delivering cannabinoids to your system
- Lotions – CBD not only can soothe and ease discomfort but it also keeps your skin smooth and hydrated
- Tinctures – while creating tinctures requires more time, the savings you can realize by learning how to make your own CBD oils can be huge
Okay, we’re pretty sure you are familiar with joints, pipes, and vaporizers. The preparation is minimal and simple. But if foods, drinks, lotions, and tinctures appear daunting, we find a little experience goes far in making you comfortable with these more involved processes.
Granted, it may appear that creating your own CBD lotions and tinctures may be a longer-term goal but as with any other process, practice makes perfect. And when you consider the low price of shake/trim, you are given plenty of room for errors and can still end up with cannabinoid-infused products at a fraction of typical retail prices.
There is also a degree of satisfaction and accomplishment when you do learn to master processes that allow you to create your own lotions and tinctures. As with any skill, it’s best to start simply, so we recommend you first try cooking with cannabinoids. To help build your skills, we suggest you visit our blog where we regularly publish articles offering tips and instructions for using shake/trim to create your own culinary cannabinoid-infused creations.
THE THC-O TREATMENT PROCESS
When it comes to effective treatment of our premium hemp flower strains with a distillate of THC-O, we quickly learned that the most efficient and thorough treatment can be attained through a cold infusion process. As the name “cold infusion” implies, we freeze the THC-O distillate until it is completely solid. We then pulverize the frozen THC-O distillate into a powder and toss it into a container with buds from the chosen hemp flower strain. This is then vigorously agitated so that the powdered THC-O distillate evenly coats the entire flower, all the way down to the stem.
This approach results in a thorough coating of the THC-O distillate throughout the treated plant matter. More significantly, the end result of the cold infusion treatment process is a purer and truer blending of the THC-O compound with the cannabinoids contained in the hemp flower strain, all performed without the use of any solvents.
THC-O IS SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT THAN OTHER CANNABINOIDS! If you already consume cannabinoids containing psychotropic properties (like Delta 8 THC and/or Delta 9 THC), you will find its intermediate level of effects quite familiar. But if you increase your consumption of THC-O, you will not experience intensified psychotropic effects but will rather shift into a psychedelic state of mind and being.
As with any new physical or mental experience, a psychedelic effect may be startling and unsettling for first-time users. We recommend that you ensure you are in a healthy state of mind and body if you want to experience psychedelic effects. This advice holds true for both new and experienced consumers of THC-O. While a psychedelic state can deliver incredible and life-changing insights, it may also reveal past traumas that appear as realistic as when they originally occurred. Let common sense and the collective experience of thousands of individuals who have experienced and enjoyed psychedelic states guide you with this simple advice: for optimal effects, only seek out psychedelic experiences when you are in physically and emotionally strong states.
When first consuming THC-O treated hemp flower strains, we recommend you begin low and slow. Keep in mind that THC-O effects can be delayed by as much as one hour (although 20-30 minutes is typical), so we urge you to practice patience and allow the full effects to take hold.
When first consuming this product, please wait at least 30 minutes (preferably one hour) before consuming more THC-O or other cannabinoids. By limiting your experience to just one THC-O treated hemp flower strain, you are better able to assess its full effects on you. As with any cannabinoid, each person responds differently. While we can report general effects experienced by other consumers, your own experience may differ greatly.
To gain a greater understanding and appreciation of THC-O, we recommend our article entitled “Investigating THC-O” which dives deeper into this new and fascinating cannabinoid. For many cannabinoid consumers, THC-O will become another important and effective compound to include in their wellness regimen; as with other cannabinoids, it likely benefits our endocannabinoid system in ways research has not yet discovered.
